Diane McArter is managing director and owner of Furlined, a production company based in Los Angeles, New York and London. Furlined represents an elite roster of creative talent that has been recognized for award-winning work for brands and audiences around the globe. Diane is a true ‘giver’ and a fierce friend and supporter of The Academi of Life.
Known for her creative eye, business acumen and strong leadership, Diane has risen to be one of the most respected and trusted voices in the industry. She is the former President of Ridley Scott Company. She sits on the Board of Governors of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) Show, an annual event produced in tandem with the Museum of Modern Art, and is a member of AICP Next committee.
Diane spearheads the company’s social responsibility efforts, part of the company’s mission ‘to do work that does good.’ Furlined is committed to ideas that have the power to transform and to creating content that illuminates issues of social concern, whether through public service campaigns, short films or documentaries.
Diane has two grown children and divides her time between New York and Los Angeles, with many stops in between to her hometown of Toronto.

As you may or may not know, The Academi of Life was founded as a place where people gather to discuss the things in life that matter most that we did not learn in school.
We are in the midst of one of the worst decline in history…mental health is at an all-time low, the respect for our fellow man is at an all time-low and decency and integrity are at an all-time low. We need to talk!
At this Town Hall meet-up, we'll discuss seven brutal truths about life that no one wants to admit, but need to hear.
The conversations will be brutally honest, insightful, meaningful and wise. Come prepared to talk. Come prepared to share meaningfully with each other. Come prepared to discuss ideas to improve our minds, souls and wellbeing. The dialogue will be guided by a select group of experts in the field of holistic self-development.
The event is limited to 50 persons.
